Synopsis
A sensation when it was staged last season at Soho Rep in New York City, REVOLT. SHE SAID. REVOLT AGAIN. is described as a “short, sharp shock of a play,” from Britain’s sassiest young feminist playwright.
Beginning with the directive, “This play should not be well-behaved,” REVOLT explores the ways in which language, attitude, and behaviors have acted to define and confine women’s roles, sexuality, bodies, and the ways we function in the world. It is a call-to-arms to examine how women are contained in the world by forces that we almost fail to recognize.
