At the annual Ivey awards in Minneapolis last night, Sha Cage received an Ivey for her performance in last season’s GROUNDED by George Brant. In accepting the award for her powerful performance, Cage said “This is for all those actors who say “I got this,” and then get into it and start thinking “Wait….I don’t think.. I got.. this…” and then thanked Frank and Artistic Director Wendy Knox for believing in her. GROUNDED was performed last September at the Playwrights’ Center.
