After a 5 year hiatus, Frank’s Board of Directors invites you to a “revised” Summer Splash with HOT GRILLED TREATS! COLD BEVERAGES! DELICIOUS DESERTS! (TRUMP’S SENTENCING DAY!) Summer Splash is our traditional summer celebration of all things Frank—our artists, our audience, our supporters and (this year) our 35 years of BEING FRANK!
It is a casual, fun picnic-style event, where you can join other fabulous Frank supporters, hobnob with the fantastic folks on the Frank board and those funky Frank artists! Nosh on some delicious treats and sip some cool beverages! You can also catch a sneak peak of what might be coming up in Frank’s 35th season! And catch a fabulous view of south Minneapolis from up above!
WHAT: Summer Splash – celebrating Frank Theatre’s 35th season!
WHEN: Thursday July 11th, 5:30 – 8:30PM
WHERE: Midtown Exchange Apartments, Community Room + Rooftop (enter through the BIG DOORS @ 2929 Chicago Ave S. and look for the Frank Theatre signs)
PARKING/GETTING THERE: In front of the massive Sears building (where Frank presented CRADLE WILL ROCK in 2003, just before the property was developed), there is surface lot and there is a ramp on 10th Ave and Lake St. (both have pay systems). There is also street parking on Lake St. or Chicago Ave. Public transit options include the D Line (rapid transit), #5 and #21 bus stops near the building. NOTE: There is Lake St. construction for the B Line – Lake St. traffic gets sluggish.
This is a pay-what-you-will event. We will gratefully accept any amount (suggested admission of $35 – for Frank’s 35th year!), either at the event of through the Frank website (www.franktheatre.org) and consider it a lovely birthday gift.
